Weather forecast

Tuesday, July 08, 2025

A decrease in rainfall is expected across the national territory, mainly due to the arrival of a Saharan Dust mass over Central America, which will reduce moisture content in the atmosphere. The trade winds will remain accelerated, producing moderate gusts in northern Guanacaste and along the country’s mountain ranges. This wind pattern may carry the limited available moisture toward the Caribbean and the Northern Zone, where scattered morning showers cannot be ruled out. During the afternoon, there remains a chance of very isolated showers in the South Pacific and the mountains of the Central Pacific. In Guanacaste and the Central Valley, rainfall is expected to be quite limited.
