General comment

Tropical wave number 21 (OT 21) is expected to pass through this Saturday. This system, together with the position of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and local factors, favor instability in the atmosphere. These conditions favor the occurrence of rain, showers and thunderstorms in the national territory during the afternoon and night. During the early morning, coastal rains are expected on both coasts of the country, being more likely in sectors of the Nicoya Peninsula. Variable cloudiness will continue, between partly to mostly cloudy in the early morning and morning. In the afternoon, showers with the possibility of thunderstorms are expected. These showers are expected to occur in the Pacific, Central Valley, Northern Zone and the west and mountains of the Caribbean. These conditions will continue into the night period in the Northern Pacific and Northern Zone. These will occur in isolation during the first hours of the night in the Central Valley and Central Pacific, the rest of the country with variable cloudiness.
