General comment

Hurricane Beryl (currently category 4) is located in the middle of this afternoon east of the Caribbean Sea, about 1500 km from Puerto Limón. This system continues to move west-northwest at about 35 km/h and is expected to pass near Jamaica tomorrow Wednesday (approximately 1000 km/h from Costa Rica). Although Beryl is not expected to have a direct influence on the national territory, its trajectory through the center of the Caribbean Sea will be influencing the positioning and activity of the Intertropical Convergence Zone and in this way will indirectly affect the weather over Costa Rica. An increase in cloudiness is anticipated in most of the country from early in the day, as well as a reinforcement of the rains typical of the season on the Pacific slope, Central Valley and mountainous sectors of the Caribbean and the Northern Zone in the afternoon. and part of the night.
