General comment
The passage of Cold Surge 19 over the region will keep atmospheric pressure levels high in the Caribbean Basin and, at the same time, generate windy conditions over Costa Rica. Occasional gusts will be experienced in the Central Valley, the North Pacific, and the mountain ranges. The windy pattern facilitates the transport of moisture from the Caribbean Sea to the province of Limón and the Northern Zone, causing cloudiness and rain for most of the day. The cloud cover will occasionally extend to the north and east of the Central Valley, generating the possibility of drizzle. Meanwhile, in the Pacific, partly to cloudy skies are expected, with rain and thunderstorms expected in the central and southern parts of the region during the afternoon.Ephemeris (San José)
