Weather Warning
Rainy conditions by tropical wave pass # 13
June 29, 2020
9.30 a.m.
Diagnosis: the proximity of the intertropical Convergence Zone, as well as the passage of tropical wave # 13 and the unstable atmosphere are factors that favor rainy conditions in the region.
Forecast: In the afternoon storm showers are expected along the Pacific coast, with estimated amounts between 25-70 mm, particularly in the Central and North Pacific.
In the North Zone and Central Valley, isolated rains will appear intermittently during the afternoon and at night, with estimated amounts of 15-30 mm.
In the Caribbean regions, there will be rainy conditions in the mountainous regions during the afternoon and night, in the coastal sectors the rains will be much more isolated.
Warning: Special attention sensitive places after yesterday's rains such as the North and Central Pacific, as well as in the mountainous sectors of the North Zone.
Due to the above, the IMN recommends:
Caution in areas vulnerable to flooding due to sewerage saturation.
Take refuge in a safe place in case of listening to a thunderstorm or perceiving strong gusts of wind near storm clouds, as well as caution for possible falling tree branches, power lines, among others.
Attention on the main national highways, such as route 27 and route 32.
