Lluvias vespertinas intermitentes en el Pacífico

Diagnóstico: la cercanía de la Zona de Convergencia Intertropical y las altas temperaturas debido a la ausencia de nubosidad son factores que favorecen las condiciones lluviosas vespertinas.
Pronóstico: En el período vespertino se tendrán condiciones lluviosas con tormentas en todo el Pacífico, con montos entre 15-50 mm en períodos de 6 horas. Por otro lado, se prevén condiciones lluviosas en los sectores montañosos de la Zona Norte y Caribe, con montos entre 15-40 mm. En el Valle Central las lluvias serán más aisladas, principalmente al oeste del Valle, con montos entre 5-15 mm
Durante la noche disminuirán las condiciones lluviosas en la mayor parte del país, sin embargo, se tendrán precipitaciones en algunos sectores del Pacífico con montos entre 5-10 mm en períodos de 3 horas.
Advertencia: en la región del Pacífico se prevén condiciones lluviosas importantes que pudieran ocasionar deslizamientos e inundaciones repentinas.
Debido a lo anterior, el IMN recomienda:
- Precaución en zonas con vulnerabilidad a inundaciones por aumento de caudal en ríos y quebradas, especialmente en la Zona Norte, Pacífico y Valle Central.
- Refugiarse en un sitio seguro en caso de escuchar tormenta eléctrica o percibir fuertes ráfagas de viento cerca de las nubes de tormenta, así como precaución por posible caída de ramas de árboles, tendido eléctrico entre otros.
