Aguaceros localizados en la Vertiente del Pacífico y Zona Norte durante esta noche

Diagnóstico: Condiciones atmosféricas húmedas e inestables y la cercanía de la Zona de Convergencia Intertropical, favorecen precipitaciones de variable intensidad, incluyendo aguaceros con tormenta eléctrica en las regiones del Pacífico Norte, Pacífico Sur, Zona Norte y Caribe. Los acumulados más importantes en las últimas 6 horas son: Betania Cutris con 22.6 mm, Paquera con 22.4 mm, Santa Cruz Guanacaste con 61.2 mm, Hojancha 59.2 mm, Pinilla Guanacaste con 61 mm, Puerto Jimenez con 27.7 mm y Limón con 28.2 mm. El resto del país con montos no mayores a 20 mm.
Pronóstico: Durante la madrugada de este martes, se mantendrán los aguaceros localizados, con posible tormenta eléctrica aislada en la Zona Norte, regiones costeras del Pacífico y Caribe con montos estimados entre 40 - 70 mm, en periodo de 6 horas. El resto del país se mantendrá con nubosidad parcial, con acumulados no mayores a 20 mm en 6 horas.
Advertencia: Alta saturación de suelos se registra en la Zona Norte, Caribe, Pacífico Sur y Península de Nicoya, aumentando la vulnerabilidad en dichos sectores. Además, en zonas urbanas la saturación de alcantarillado podría propiciar inundaciones repentinas.
Debido a lo anterior, el IMN recomienda:
• Precaución por saturación de alcantarillado en lugares propensos a este tipo de inundaciones.
• Prevención ante tormenta eléctrica y buscar refugio en un sitio seguro en caso de presentarse o depercibir fuertes ráfagas de viento cerca de las nubes de tormenta, debido a la posible caída de ramas de árboles, tendido eléctrico entre otros. Estas ráfagas pueden alcanzar entre 80 a 100 km/h en algunos casos aislados.
