Onda tropical #8 sobre Costa Rica

Diagnóstico: La onda tropical #8 ha ingresado a territorio nacional desde esta madrugada generando condiciones nubladas en gran parte del país además de lluvias de variable intensidad en la vertiente del Caribe y parte del Valle Central. También se presenta actividad lluviosa aislada al sur de la Península de Nicoya

Pronóstico: A lo largo de esta mañana se prevé que continúen las lluvias de variable intensidad con posible tormenta eléctrica de manera puntual en las regiones de Caribe, Zona Norte además del centro y este del Valle Central. Para la tarde se anticipa un reforzamiento de las precipitaciones en la vertiente del Pacífico, Valle Central y Zona Norte con lluvias aisladas y aguaceros con tormenta eléctrica.

Advertencia: Especial atención en las regiones del Caribe Norte, oeste del Valle Central y el Pacífico Central, ya que en estos lugares se esperan los mayores acumulados de lluvias para este sábado.

Debido a lo anterior, el IMN recomienda:

 

  • Precaución en zonas con vulnerabilidad a inundaciones por saturación de alcantarillado. 
  • Refugiarse en un sitio seguro en caso de escuchar tormenta eléctrica o percibir fuertes ráfagas de viento cerca de las nubes de tormenta, así como precaución por posible caída de ramas de árboles, tendido eléctrico entre otros.
  • Atención en las principales carreteras nacionales, como la ruta 27 y la ruta 32.
