Lluvias intermitentes por influencia de la onda tropical #16

Diagnóstico: La cercanía de la Zona de Convergencia Intertropical, la ubicación de la onda tropical #16 sobre Panamá y las condiciones húmedas en la región, son factores que favorecen las precipitaciones vespertinas. En estos momentos la onda tropical #16 se ubica al oeste de Panamá

Pronóstico: En las próximas horas se tendrá el ingreso de la onda tropical #16 sobre el país y favorecerá condiciones lluviosas al final de la tarde y durante la noche tanto en el Caribe como Zona Norte montañosa y en el Pacífico.

Durante el final de la tarde y noche se tendrán condiciones lluviosas fuertes e intermitentes en la Zona Norte y Caribe montañoso, con montos entre 15-70 mm y máximos localizados de hasta 100 mm. En la región del Pacífico se tendrán condiciones lluviosas intensas con montos entre 15-60 mm y máximos de hasta 100 mm en el Pacífico Sur.

El Valle Central continuará con nubosidad densa y con muy pocas precipitaciones, montos entre 1-15 mm en períodos de 3 horas. 

Advertencia: Debido a los niveles de saturación importantes que se registraron anoche y las lluvias de las últimas horas se tienen saturados los suelos en la Zona Norte, donde serán más probables los deslizamientos.

 

Debido a lo anterior, el IMN recomienda:

 

  • Precaución en zonas con vulnerabilidad a inundaciones por aumento de caudal en ríos y quebradas, especialmente en la Zona Norte, Pacífico y Valle Central. 
  • Refugiarse en un sitio seguro en caso de escuchar tormenta eléctrica o percibir fuertes ráfagas de viento cerca de las nubes de tormenta, así como precaución por posible caída de ramas de árboles, tendido eléctrico entre otros.
