Condiciones lluviosas de la noche del lunes y madrugada del martes

Diagnóstico: Condiciones atmosféricas muy húmedas e inestables se mantienen sobre el territorio nacional. La cercanía de la zona de convergencia intertropical y la onda tropical #3 propician dichas condiciones sobre el territorio nacional. En las últimas 6 horas se registran los siguientes montos en la región del Caribe Norte: Hidroeléctrica Horquetas 199.8 mm, Rain Forest 104.4 mm, y en el Valle Central: Santa Bárbara 85.8 mm. Estaciones ubicadas en el Pacífico Central y Sur registran montos entre 0 y 20 mm. Sin embargo, a esta hora las precipitaciones han disminuido su intensidad en el Caribe Norte y el este del Valle Central. No así para las costas del Pacífico Central y Sur, donde persisten núcleos convectivos que generan aguaceros y tormentas eléctricas cercanos a la costa.

 

 

Pronóstico: Durante la madrugada de este martes se esperan lluvias acompañadas de tormentas eléctricas en regiones del Pacífico Central y Sur con montos de 15 a 25 mm en 6 horas. Para el Caribe y la Zona Norte se esperan lluvias de variable intensidad en la madrugada y en la mañana con montos entre 10 - 15 mm en 6 horas. Para el resto del país no se prevén precipitaciones importantes.

 

 

 

Advertencia: Especial atención ante eventos de lluvia puntual en regiones del Pacífico Central y Sur, Caribe Norte y Zona Norte, así como en áreas vulnerables en Ruta 32, 10 y 34, entre otras.

 

 

 

 

Debido a lo anterior, el IMN recomienda:

 

  • Precaución por saturación de alcantarillado en lugares propensos a este tipo de inundaciones.
  • Prevención ante tormenta eléctrica y buscar refugio en un sitio seguro en caso de presentarse o de percibir fuertes ráfagas de viento cerca de las nubes de tormenta, debido a la posible caída de ramas de árboles, tendido eléctrico entre otros. Estas ráfagas pueden alcanzar entre 80 a 100 km/h en algunos casos aislados.
