General comment

A wetter and more unstable atmospheric pattern over Costa Rica and surrounding areas will increase the occurrence of rain in various parts of the country. The arrival of Tropical Wave 14 this Friday will bring cloudiness and rain from early hours, particularly in the Caribbean and the North Zone. To a lesser extent, the cloud cover may gradually spread to the center of the country and the mountainous areas. Cloudy development and thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon in the Central Pacific, South Pacific, and the northern region. Scattered rain showers are possible in the Central Valley, the Nicoya Peninsula, and the Caribbean mountains.
